BLU-8 triggering presets

A customer emailed me with this question, \"I have a BLU-8 in 8 page encoder mode. I'm using the push buttons to recall parameter presets. Is there a way to make the button stay lighted fully to show which parameter preset is active?\" Because this is a function that everybody might use at some point, I decided to answer it here.
First, we need to deal with the \"currently active preset\" bit again. When you trigger a parameter preset, you're triggering an event. That event causes a bunch of state variables to be set to specific levels. Immediately after that happens, any of those state variables can be changed by control panels, wall controls, logic, etc. A parameter preset is not in any way persistent. It happens and then it's over. Therefore, there's no such thing as the \"currently active preset\".
However, if what you really want to do is to indicate which preset was most recently recalled, it's really simple to do. Just create a bunch of logic sources and tie each one to a preset trigger. Radio link all of the logic sources so that only one of them can be on at a time. Assign the logic sources to the BLU-8 buttons and you're done. When you press button 3 on the BLU-8, it will turn on that logic source, the radio link will turn off all of the other logic sources, and the preset trigger will trigger your preset.
