midi loop (FPC900)

hello.
I just purchased FPC900I, FPC900R and FCS-926.
I made a midi loop from the interface to the eq
(interface: midi out to eq midi in, eq midi out to interface midi in)
and a 5 pole xlr to the remote.
I now can change things with the remote on the eq, but on the remote itself nothing changes, the line stays flat.
what can i do?

let me add, i cannot change the curve on the remote in standalone, does that mean the remote is now working correctly?
