Feature Request: Ability to Link Links

I've created a macro that contains two source matrices linked together to form a stereo pair. I only have one of the source matrix control panels in the macro control panel so the link is hidden. I would like to link the macro control panel (when the macro is in a program) to another source matrix elsewhere in the program but I can't because you can't link links.
