Start in Mute State

Is it possible to use logic objects to start a Blu-xxx in a muted state? This would require either telling the system to mute on power loss (not feasible) or to mute on power on.

The goal is to eliminate any noise from BSS during start up, regardless of which order the customer flips on breakers.

I may simply be asking if the Logic Pulse/Startup object takes effect quick enough to handle this or not.

And if it does not, then this serves as a feature request for BSS to implement such a tool.

Suggesting that the user merely follow the proper start up sequence is insufficient for cases such as temporary power loss, for which the entire system will return to a powered state at once. Having the Processor mute inputs/outputs during the boot-up sequence and then triggering a logic unmute when the system is finished loading would be a valuable feature.

  • Add a logic source (set to high) wired to a single pulse trigger wired to a preset trigger. Set the preset trigger to recall a mute preset.

This will mute the system each time it boots up but will not have an effect on any electrical noise etc that might occur before the DSP Initializes.
