Gain to follow input level?

Is there a way to have a gain follow the level of an input?

Here is the setup: In a multi-purpose room my client wants to be able to run an even with an analog physical mixer. I setup a BOB that breaks out the inputs on stage. This works fine. The challenge is there is also 5.1 playback from a Bluray player. I wanted to send a tone to an input on the analog mixer and send that channel to an aux which goes back into the Blu. I would like to tie the levels of the 6 - 5.1 channels to the level of the tone giving them manual control of the 5.1 volume from a single analog fader.

Thanks for the help!

  • One way of achieving this is by using the Modulator object and the Meter object with the Control Output enabled.
The Meter's control output gives you a DC control signal which varies with the Meter level.
When wired up to the Modulator, the control signal will, in effect, drive the level of the 5.1 channels.
You can adjust the ballisitics of the Meter to give you a stable level. (the tone may make the Meter level wobble slightly so you can smooth this off by increasing the Attack and Release of the Meter)

  • Hi all,

I have set up 3x preset parameters with limiter settings for day, evening and night.

In the design window each button shows \"off\".

But, when I run the simulation or go online each button shows \"press\" and won't show when activated.

Any ideas what I might have missed?

    Thanks.
  • Parameter Presets cannot be On or Off nor can they be \"activated\" because they are a one-shot event and not a state.
