Need help with London/Crestron integration

I'm very new to SIMPL programming. Hopefully someone can guide me a bit.
I want to use the smallest Crestron room controller to translate between Blu-160 and another manufacturer's piece of equipment that has a published Crestron module.
In London's Custom Panel I need to display the other piece's status (on/off/fault) and turn on a few buttons.
Is it possible to just pass the signal from let's say the 8-channel gain block's mute buttons directly to the other module's buttons? Or do I have to go through some sort of logic processor in Crestron's own library? If yes, which one would I use?
I will not have a Crestron touch panel in the setup to trigger or display anything. It all has to happen directly in the controller.
Hopefully all this makes sense.

You can use a Crestron QMRMC. I belive that is their smallest/cheapest processor that can do this with no touch panel. Can't help you out on whether you can directly pass the signals unless you provide the signal definition on the receiving module. You can get this by getting the module help document on the other module. Sometimes this is a PDF, sometimes you just hit F1 and it brings up the help text.

If the \"other\" modules inputs are digital (i.e. blue line), then most likely, yes, you can tie them acrossn directly. If not, you need to know what type it is before you know what SIMPL objects to use to interface.
  • Best I can suggest is to download the module package and open the example file and study it until you understand how the modules work inside and out. Attempting to use them before doing this will leave you pulling teeth.
