BLU-8 controlling gain for multiple sources

I have the following scenario, where I have to use a BLU-8 (I hope it's possible):
I have a small system of 1 BLU-100, 1 BLU-8 and a projector.
The BLU-100 has 2 stereo sources and 2 mic sources.
I want the BLU-8 to control the volume of the selected source without affecting the volume of the other sources, so the user can select eg. the PC input, turn it up, and then select a microphone and turn that one up, using both sources (or more) at the same time.
I use the 4 buttons as control for the projector (2 ethernet controls and 2 logic outputs).

Is this possible, or do I have to think in a new way?

  • Totally possible.

Put the BLU-8 into either 4-page mode or 8-page mode. Your choice; either will get the job done. But since it sounds like you're happy using the 4 buttons to control the projector (as opposed to using the left encoder to control the projector), I recomend using 8-page mode.

After you've put the BLU-8 into 8-page mode, do this...

    Page 1:
Right encoder controls stereo source 1
    Page 2:
Right encoder controls stereo source 2
    Page 3:
    Right encoder controls mic 1
    Page 4:
    Right encoder controls mic 2

Program the 4 buttons identically within each page.

Pages 5 through 8 will be unused.
