Blu 32 & 80

Hi

I have 2 units sitting in an install, and both units Blu80 and Blu32 appear to have developed faults

1) Critical: On the Blu32 output 2 is dead. The output level meters indicate signal but no audio comes out. We could not see anything visibly wrong inside so I presume it’s a component failure on the output board.?

2) Worrying?: On the Blu80 the brightness of the front panel display and indicator LEDs are all dim. In fact the display is so dim you can hardly read it.
I hope this is not the imminent demise of the main PSU?

any one able to shed light on this please?

thanks in advance

Dan

If a input or output is defective you can replace the input or output card and send it to your dealer for a repair, usualy...

For the dim, the display contrast is adjustable on the standard control od the Blu device. There should not be any issue with the psu.
But by the way.... if you habe to open the device, its good to take a look at the psu board and the fans inside. You should replace the fans after 4-5 years of continous operation. Also check the psu-s condensators, if one got blown up. then replace the psu board, or solder in a new condensator using a 105degree type, if you are able to do this type of repair...
