BIB

Never used a BIB. Specs say \"not configurable in London Architect\" and gain is controlled by front panel....OK, but where do the inputs from the BIB \"show up\" in the DSP on my main unit (BLU0160).....can I route them into the basic system design? Can I control and switch the BIB inputs with my BLU-10 controller? Application is I'd like to use the BIB to bring in additional analog inputs from a BluRay player into a film mix system, normally fed from ProTools......should I just use a BLU-120 instead?

On Bib's and Bob's there are Dip-Switches to adjust the range of channel numbers on the blu-link.
So e.g. if you set the bib to use the channels 1-8, then you will find your audio on the blu-link object channels 1-8 on your other soundweb devices.
I personally prefer to use \"real\" inputs on blu devices, as i can control the parameters like level and phantom power, so they are more universal. But i totaly like the bob, as it's a cheap way to add outputs and you don't need setup with an output.
So if i'd had the choice i would pack the blu with all input cards and use bob's as output.
    But well, tastes are different...

Thanks for the clarifications---your idea makes good sense, use the main BLU for all inputs, do my processing and configurations, and then just \"haul 'em out\" on the BOB output box---cool
