BLU8 and Custom Panels

We have a venue with multiple BLU8s where they want the numbered buttons 1-4 to be respective mutes for Left, Centre and Right Array hangs to turn a side completely off. Meanwhile on the custom panel we have made a mutes page where each part of the array is able to be muted individually eg. Left top hang, Left bottom hang, Left Sub etc. Therefore linking the mutes to create the on off buttons on the BLU8 wont work as we will loose the functionality to individually mute array elements.

Presets doesnt really work either because only one can be recalled at a time per paramater group? We want the BLU8 to be able to toggle the mutes and not recall a preset.

I want to be able to toggle mute on the BLU8 the mutes and have this reflected on the custom panel where things are able to be muted and unmuted as individuals.

Ideas? Im thinking logic?

    How about this...?
Use a N-Gain object for each hang.
Let the BLU-8 control the Master Mute while the custom panel controls the individual channel mutes.
In logic, link the Master Mute to a Logic Source.
Let that in turn feed a Preset Trigger to recall a Parameter Preset to un-mute the individual mutes when the Master Mute is un-muted.

Now if you mute the whole hang from the BLU-8, it doesn't matter what the individual mutes will be, everything will be muted anyway. Maybe you want to put a \"Master Mute\" indicator on your custom panel to show this.

When you un-mute from the BLU-8, all the individual mutes will also be un-muted.

Don't know if it's just what you want, but it's an idea. :D
