I don't have the System Design File

Hi guys, the 9088ii installed in a pub just stop working all of a sudden, i'm not familiar with the unit, but i understand that if i connect a pc without the original .sdf it will reset the unit...is that correct??
Is there a way around this issue? can i retrieve the file from the unit at all?
The unit was installed a good 10 years ago, and can't get in touch with the guy that installed it.
any help will be highly appreciated

    It is not possible to extract anything out of the 9088. You will need to find the original design file or create a new one.
    There are no workarounds, I'm afraid.
