The Crown® CT8SHO/CT16S Amplifier Switchers give end users of public address systems confidence that their system is operational and healthy. For the first time, the public address system industry has an alternative to proprietary amplifier switching technology at an affordable price. These amplifier switchers can work off of voltage monitoring, control ports or Ethernet messages to trigger failover.

The CT16S has the following features:

-16 Primary Amplifier Inputs

-16 Backup Amplifier Inputs

-16 Loudspeaker Outputs

-Automatic Switching of Failed Primary Amplifier Channel to Idle Backup Amplifier Channel

-Hi-Z (70V / 100V) Capability

-2A of Continuous Current or 1000W per Channel of Audio Signal Capability

-16 Control Inputs and 5 Control Outputs

-Can be controlled from the IDX server or Standalone

The CT8SHO has the following features:

-8 Primary Amplifier Inputs

-8 Backup Amplifier Inputs

-8 Loudspeaker Outputs

-Automatic Switching of Failed Primary Amplifier Channel to Idle Backup Amplifier Channel

-Hi-Z (70V / 100V) Capability

-160Vrms, 20A Continuous per Channel of Audio Signal Capability

-16 Control Inputs and 5 Control Outputs

-Can be controlled from the IDX server or Standalone

This application guide covers how to setup and use the CT16S and CT8SHO amplifier switchers with London DSP's using Ethernet triggers and control ports to create a standalone amplifier back solution.
