Limiting range of remote volume controls.

If I use subrange minimum and maximum values applied to a a virtual fader in LA and then assign this to a control port, the remote volume control is still able to reach the maximum value of +10dB and minimum of -inf. Is this just the way it is?

cheers

  • The subrange property your are setting only applies to the fader object on the your control panel.
Use a Gain Mono, select it in the Configuration Window (the object itself, not the fader) and look at the Properties. You will see a \"Subrange\" section. This will subrange the Gain itself and anything that tries to control it (Control port, RS-232, presets, etc) will not be able to set the fader outside the subrange.

There is no subrange for the N-Input Gain.
