Sonus IDAN 88 = SoundWeb 9088 Clone - need help

Hello everybody...

I got a 9088iis for some years... and recently, I bought second hand a Sonus IDAN 88 which seems to be a SoundWeb 9088 BSS clone...

there's a BSS logo on it...
except for the brand and model... and the fact the front paint is white and not green... the rest of it, connectors, lights, etc.. is exactly the same.

here's an ad that show some pictures of the object (this ad is NOT mine):

I tried to connect to it using SW Designer 1.50. No chance.
I downloaded the SW Designer 1.20 (doesn't work on my XP), 1.22 and 1.30 (both works) but no connection. Of course I tried several COM speed... I goth a USB-to RS232 cable (UC232A) on a VM WinXP ... as I have no more PCs that works on XP...

I tried to plug the IDAN 88 with my 9088iis using cat5e cables. My unit show \"master\" in network\" and both units shows the \"sync\" light on. When I plug the RS232 on my 9088, the 9088 is seen but not the IDAN. If I plug the RS232 on the IDAN, it doesn't show the IDAN BUT IT SHOWS MY 9088IIS UNIT ?! thru the network cable, I guess....

right now, I got no way to connect the IDAN, but I'll use any idea....

thanks everyone !

IDAN has it's own software called DSPrado.
IDAN devices cannot be converted to 9088 devices for use with Soundweb Designer.
