Input Labels with Custom Panel

I'm trying to find a way to relabel inputs in a custom control panel while online. I have the rest of my design on a custom control panel for ease of use, but I've been unable to link the name on my inputs (mic's, mono and stereo inputs) to an edit box in a custom control panel. Is there any way to do this; even linking names from an audio coupler into a custom control panel? Thanks!
