Min/Max Levels Crown AMPs or BLU-160

Hi all,

I am still new to BSS so please go easy on me ;).
I am Crestron programmer who happens to do BSS config on one project as well. I am controlling Crown amplifiers directly via IP address rather than Gain-N input symbol in BSS (simply because it let's me send more commands at the same time). This all works sweet. Problem I have is that your slider (-100 dB to 0dB) gives me real volume control only between something like -25 dB to 0dB. Now, is there a way to setup min and max values either in Audio Architect or directly on the Crown AMPs so that I don't have to any scaling on Crestron end ?

My setup :
x1 BLU-160
x12 Crown DCIN 8

  • You can if you use a mono gain processing object in the BSS London device. In this object you can set maximum and minimum values by using the 'subrange' settings in the properties for the gain object.

The N input gain does not have such a subrange option, so you'd have to scale in the control system.

No option to set subranges on the Crown DCiN amplifiers.
