Bumps / Ignoring Parts of a Parameter Preset

1) When I drop a (single) gain fader on to a panel it shows the bump buttons - can I switch off (remove) the bump buttons somewhere? (Ugly solution is to use one half of a n-channel gain.)
2) I have a parameter preset group with several elements (one of which is a source selector) with 3 presets. Is it possible to have an \"empty\" value in some of the presets so that selector stays how it is while all the other elements change? (Ugly solution is to make different groups some with the selector element and some without and trigger separately.)
