Unable to Retrieve file from device; Blu 32

I need to pull a design file off of a Blu 32, however once I have loaded the configuration from the device, I am unable to access the save/save as functions. Having the design online/offline doesn't change this. I was not the person that installed this system, but the in program log on for the only laptop used is the administrator one. I am not prompted for any passwords when opening or connecting to the device. Has anyone else ever run into a similar problem? or am i missing something stupid obvious?
