weird input numbering in Serial Table object (Audio Architect)

The binary input numbering for the Serial Table is so weird.
Input 0, 1, 2 are OK (00000000, 10000000, 01000000).
But past this point things get weird...
input 3 : 00100000
input 4 : 00010000
input 5 : 00001000
input 6 : 00000100
input 7 : 00000010
input 8 : 00000001
it took me hours to understand why my logic setup would trigger the wrong hex strings through rs232.
Turns up the binary-looking input numbers, beside starting from left to right, are not binary at all.
Is it a known bug or am I the only one having this weird behaviou from AA ?
