Windows file sharing on Sound Web network

Does anyone have experience with file sharing between PCs on a sound Web network? I have a static IP network with various harman amplifiers and processors, a main PC connected via ethernet and a surface tablet connected via wireless AP. All devices connect and work perfectly with audio architect, performance manager etc. What I would like to achieve is to have both computers share a folder using Windows file sharing to ensure they are both using the most up to date files. Is this possible/recommended on a sound Web control network? I have turned on all the ant file sharing settings in Windows and whilst both PCs can see each other in Netsetter I am having no luck with Windows file sharing. Neither computer can see the other. Am I missing something obvious? Or is this a terrible idea and I should just use a different p2p network all together for fine sharing? Any insight would be very much appreciated.
