change master issues

Hello,
I have a system with 4 BLu-100, 3-BLu160, and 1-blu-320 connected through a ring with cat6 and some fiberoptic converters, is installation is more that 15 years old. lately the system audio started breaking in one area and we needed to sort it out, we re-punched all cat6 and cleaned the fiberoptics, and changed one set of converter to the same model number with a newer version. the problem was solved for now, but i am doubting two things
1) the new set of converters is not closing the ring as i see one loop synced on the blulink-in and terminates on the connection of one of the converters and the other loop is synced on blulink out and terminates at the other end of the receiving converter. Although on the control panel both blulink in and out are on. please note the software still runs on london architect.
are some converters not compatible with BSS, or am i missing some point here

2) while checking the log events i find always the master which is set to highest priority is fighting with another master with a weird mac address that is not programmed and not even found on the netsetter. An example of the log is below

The MAC: 00:0F:D4:01:88:28 is not available on the network even if i do cmd arp/a anybody encountered such thing.
