UPDATE:
I contacted AUDIO PRO HEILBRONN Elektroakustik GmbH in Germany. That is the German Distributor of Soundcraft! They were very helpful and offered a very nice solution of this problem. I recommend contacting your local Distributor or the Dealer, were you bought the desk from. Make sure, to have the Serial Number in sight when contacting them. The Serial number can be found at the backside of the desk.
It seems like, that a small quantity of units have a power supply failure. But shit happens. It can be solved and I am a happy user of that desk again.

Sorry for the very late response. I just found this forum. The more you leave it on, the sooner you will have electrolytic capacitor failure. I turn mine off when not in use for more than an hour or two.

I wrote Digitech support on this issue, and got this anwer from Eric Elde
"We found the issue, if you go to the Settings and disable check for firmware on startup it will no longer crash: There is not likely to be a firmware update so for now it’s a viable workaround until they fix the software"
And it works
( to access settings, start Jammanager with device disconnected)

Re: What does the suffix "-NP" mean in the BSS BLU101M-NP model designation?
Those are regional designations. I have different ones on my price sheet like US, MX, etc. If you want to be sure you're ordering the most appropriate DSP, I'd recommend you check with your sales rep or HARMAN Customer Care.
