Digital Inputs on 4800

Hi, Some questions on the AES digital inputs of the 4800.
I'm planning to install 4800 in a dance club and hope to keep the signal totally digital from CD player to mixer taking the mains from the 96khz SPDIF out of the new Pioneer DJM800 mixer and converting it to an AES format with a proper SPDIF-AES convertor by Neutrik.
How does the 4800 react to a loss of digital clock should the mixer be accidentally turned off? Will it mute the input? Will there be digital noise?
Your advice is most appreciated![/u]

The 4800 wil not pass any audio if the digital sync is lost.
