Using the DRPA as a Preamp

If I have a power failure what will happen with my system? Will there be a loud kaboom that could take out some speaker drivers? Or will everything losing power cause nothing to happen? I suspect that if I have a power failure then a quick power up maybe that could cause a kaboom. Is this true? My system sounds better with my preamp by-passed but a nice feature it had was that in a power failure/quick power up mode the preamp would not automatically turn on unless prompted to do so.

Should I keep or sell my preamp?

Yes there will be an energy release that has caused some people to loose drivewrs. I recomend a simple UPS (uninteruptable power supply), that will keep the DRPA on till the amps have time to dissapate their power supplys. Go to newegg.com and you'll find one for under $40.
Keep the DRPA, or upgrade to the 260, they are both great.
