I wont be able to try it till next week and just wondering if anyone can give me a heads up to save me time? I can sub a passive Radial box http://www.radialeng.com/re-proav1.htm

As the active box you have is designed more for computer sound cards and mic-level applications, a passive DI box would probably be a better move.

The first DI box mentioned has Jenson transformers and was designed for more of a pro solution in regards to dynamic range and signal usually being routed to a pro audio console and PA . I highly recommend it ...this is an incredible problem solver for all thsoe crappy preamps PC's and other consumer products come with and then send signal to a half million dollar sound system. A sound system is only as good as it's weakest link !
The passive will be fine for this application ,I just don't have it on hand.
Cheers !
