internal clipping

okay does intrenal clipping on the dr 260 damage the unit, and how does it affect my audio quality.

    No clipping in the digital domain doesn't hurt the unit.. but with digital being non linear what purpose would there be in running it near clipping? Digital clipping is some brutal and nasty stuff.. use your gain structure to insure you have plenty of headroom..with the 260 there are numerous tools to insure this processes success...
