New rig with Driverack PA

, Hi Guys,
I've just spent quite a few bucks on the following gear & would like some configuration advice from \"those in the know\"
2x JBL SRX725 (Dual 15\" with horn) each cabinet driven by a Crown XTI 4000 in bridge mode
2x JBL SRX728S (Twin 18\") each cabinet driven by XTi 4000 in bridge mode.
1x DriverackPA
The rig is set up in stereo 2-way with the 725's running passive.
Is this a good combination of gear with adequate headroom?
Should I run the PA wizard to set it up or enter the parameter values manually?
The PA doesn't have XTi tunings in it, how do I tell the PA what amps to use?
Should I be using the clip limiter in the XTi's or leave that up to the PA to handle?
Don't ask much do I
Thanks for your help,
Regards,

As for headroom your shy power on the low end if your going strictly by the definition of headroom. I think you'll be ok but the subs are power hungry and you don't have 2-4 times the rated power handling of the subs.
As for the \"amp settings you can just enter custom and use the gain structure to set the amps, or you can go to crownint.com and get the sensitivity spec and enter it manually. Some for the tunings, manual enter is the only way. If you had the 260 you could simply load v1.5 and have all of it in the unit ready to go.
As for configurations you can go to JBL professional and get all of their recommendations for your system. All your gonna need anyway is a crossover point for the sub/tops and with that kind of power to the tops you can easily cross around 70hz and not have any problems.
If you implement the limiters in the amps you will cut the effective power reserve you have available, so use the DBX limiter...again the 260 has a far superior limiter with peakstop.. the DRPA doesn't have that feature.

I've only done 1 gig with the system so far, about 1000 kids in a 2 court basketball stadium (reverb was fun!) & didn't have the DRPA at that time. After I EQ'd the system by ear, all was flat eccept for about +2db boost on the 16K. No other probs except the sub amps occasionally clipped.....as per your reasoning with the amps not quite big enough.
Yes, I'm also wondering why I went with the DRPA instead of the 260. My own fault....a combination of bad advice, in a hurry & didn't reseach it well enough.......I've got a cheap DRPA if you want it
I anoyed JBL in Australia (Jands) for best system configs but they just flogged me off with the published DRPA SRX700 series garb that doesn't tell much at all. I'll try JBL (US) & see what they come up with.
Thanks for you help.....excellent!
Rod.

I've just bought the 260......lets see if I can work it out before I bother you guys....
IMHO you made a very smart decision in purchasing the DR260...

Long time no chat. Ended up installing the DRPA at church....wow what a difference. The 260....well what can I say...magnificent piece of equipment. Life is so much sweeter now!
Cheers!
