I just bought a DBX4800 and found out a little too late that the internal ventilator is a bit noisier than I had hoped.
Ventilation space is not a problem, so now I have the choice of replacing the ventilator with a quieter type or turning it off alltogether.
Will either one be a problem? Which ventilator should I go for??

Unfortunately, we cannot support changing or removing the fan. If you do perform one of these actions, you do so at your own risk. I can tell you that the 4800s do run quite cool compared to some of our other products. The fan in the 4800 could be thought of as a little bit of overkill or “precautionary�, but if you do this I would recommend paying close attention to the temperature of the unit. Hope this helps.
