Is software compatible on 260 with Windows Vista..
I have
TOSHIBA A135-4675 laptop running VISTA, no com ports but have USB
DR 269 with dbx/null modem cable and microban usb/db9 connected(this is the cable \"most likely to work from dbx rs232 page)
Dr 260 is looking for com #
TOSHIBA is showing USB #...
Are they going to speak to each other???
Am I doing something wrong??
Thanks in advance...

Make sure that the drivers for the adapter are properly installed. When they are, you will see the adapter listed under \"Ports\" in Windows Device Manager.
Go to these links for information on troubleshooting these adapters.
