    My opinion:

    HPF BW18@45Hz
    LPF LR24@105Hz
    Gain +3dB

    TOPS:
    HPF LR24@108-114Hz
    Gain 0dB

I think Dra is working with you on your other thread so I would listen to his suggestions since he's considering your entire setup...:)

  • Also we are a Rock band with a Female singer... just in case this will reflect on any settings.

You should use "pink noise" when you set your gain structure...

Those settings should do fine,...but only as a starting point... Set your gain structure as outlined in the middle of this post...

    Cheers!

PS. Listen to Dra if he suggest otherwise... He's lots more knowledgeable on the DRPA than I...and he's more up-to-speed with your setup...

Sounds fine. Go with what sounds best.

  • Thanks for the suggestions Kpippen and Dra. I went ahead and DL'd the Drive program to play a little with the settings you gave me, however their is a Setting for the LPF for the Tops too... what sugestion for that??

    LPF BS6@OUT

    @Dra

I thought there was no LPF for tops in the DRPA?... I thought it was \"out\" by default?...

There isn't on the Hi outs, but if you put the tops on the mids there would be..

Of course if you were looking at the GUI thats the 260 and of course that HAS an LPF for all outputs...

    Gary,

    Thanks!... Makes perfect sense...:D

  • So I would run my 15's from the L and R High outputs and then the Subs from the Low/Mono, or would I run the 15's From the MIDS Outputs??

Just remember that yo have to set you the wizard as a 3-way (2 x 5) to have access to the mid outs.

    DRA
  • If I even wanted to go that route, is it beneficial for me to even go there or just deal with what the 2X3 gives me?? I am sorry guys I am one of those people that when it comes to things I am not very knowledgeable about I like to just be told what to do and then build from there later on.

Each has a pro & con.
High outs have no Lo Pass (high cut) filter, but have 3 PEQ filters.
Mid outs have a Lo Pass filter, but only have 2 PEQ filters.

    Choices, choices.

If your top cabs have more peaks and/or dips that need fixing to achieve near flatness, go with the High outs. If not and you wish to limit the exteme upper output, then go with the Mid outs.

OK then,...go with the 2X3 and "high outs"!...:D

I doubt you will need to limit extreme highs... It's simplistic...plus you'll get the extra PEQ which will be more beneficial...2cents.gif

    Cheers!

  • Thanks Kpip. Now if I get a horrible sound it's all your fault!!!! Just kidding, thanks very much to everyone but especially Gadget, Kpippen and Dra for the info and the settings. I will hook it all up and let you know how it sounds. I may have figured out a way to do the outside setting in an open field too by bringing setup to my Moms house. She lives in an area where there is a small field that opens up into a lake. So I am thinking I may be able to pull it off there with the Auto-EQ thingy.
