Has any one had experience with “Tony Lee amplifiers.
Apparently they are big in UK and Europe.
New to me.
Their specs are said to be great and when tested proved better than the specs provided!

    Designed and made in China.
I love it when an overseas (non-english speaking) company names a product phonetically to sell to an english speaking market. \"Tony Lee\" \"To Ni Le\" They may be best amp in the world, but I'd have a hard time getting passed the name.

    Very sweet sounding sub

    On loan Tony Lee amp

    Driverack PA

    Nice small rig
Wondering if a 12 and horn speaker would be better?

the 10 and horn is lighter to lift onto the stand for this old man.

The speak intelligibility was far far better with these speakers and amp

    Any thoughts??

Did the speakers do the job to your satisfaction? How high did you have to go with the crossover? KV makes some nice stuff..

    Yes, in this environment.
Didn’t notice any “hole at the cross over point. But the sound level was pretty low.
We are thinking of going to other venues.
So therefore I was wondering what might be the finer points in the differences between 10's and 12's. (Freq response, Level , punch, weight etc)(Both speakers freq response go below the crossover point.)
I crossed them at about 102.
The sub was so nice. The best small sub I have ever heard (including the bose)(By far!!)

Bose BLOWS... oops..did I say the out loud  Since Kev isn't here to preach with his \"gadgit\" rhetoric... \"JBL is second to Bose and Bose (BLOWS)I mean is second to none\"...nonsense...I'm not a big fan of Bose ...can you tell?

Yes KV audio has a solid reputation... too bad you couldn't hear the LABsubs...

    WHAT'S UP!!!!

Gary,...saw your system (pics) on the other post... Very nice!!! In the one pic are you washing the stage with the horn... Just thought I would stop in and say HELLO!... Ever since we bought the building we have been balls to the wall!... I now have EIGHT employees... The gas thing has actually been a blessing to my company because all of the 4-cylinder and hybrid stuff is here at Toyota KY... :D My sub project is still on hold because there is no time to do anything but I still think about every day...

    Dra,...I really miss you dude!...

I hope to be back once things settle down... My true passion is pro-audio but automation is our bread-n-butter...:P

    Cheers!

    Kev

PS. I really do miss you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Kev...Long time no hear.. hey email me your phone # again, I got rid of the cell phone and the numbers got lost with it...I have been using Skype, and for $2.95 a month I can call anywhere in the country unlimited!

Ya the system is AMAZING... the Labs will send you into shock! They actually move the floor! Damn I have missed them...As for the horns, they are 40X60 and the pattern ends 1 1/2 feet from the front of the stage lip! It's like a flashlight, you walk out of the beam and it's GONE  Those tops are SO AMAZING as well...All in all a system that is entirely satisfying to mix on! The bands love it too.

Good to hear from you Kev.. don't be a stranger..

Last night I had probably our best band, and I was standing in front of the right stack... 2 Labs, two Turbo 18's and 2 tops... and my vision was blurred to the point I couldn't see the stage. People kept coming up and expressing their AWE at the sound, and the band. They thought we traveled together...I was 4 feet out from the LABS and every time the kick hit the girls dancing would go into this bump and grind with each other... They got very (and this is mostly for Marks edification) \"randy\"... I tell you guys, the bar owner came flying up and said ... \"I gotta sell the bar... this is CRAZY\" \"I just walked from one end of the bar to the other... the bottles and glasses were dancing all over the bar...and the girls were too!\" \"This is insane! I can't take it any more.. I was propositioned by 7 DIFFERENT women... each HOTTER THEN THE LAST!\" (he's married... poor bloke) I wouldn't want to have to put up with the temptation he has... this bar has some AMAZING women, and last night was over the top! I sure hope we are on the mend.. it was looking really bad this spring. The female variety \"mammalian protuberances\" were flaunted with great alacrity, and with a pretty good cross section represented.. I tell you sometimes it really SUX to be in this business...

( I wish there was an 'emoticon' for Snidely Whiplash's dog) he he he...
