Is my DRPA defective?

When I Auto EQ, the pink noise comes only out of the left speakers.

I have everything hooked up right and it works with music.

My SYSTEM SETUP selected in the drpa is; STEREO;then DUAL MONO

I dont know if this helps you guys understand whats happening, but after I AUTO EQ, I go to the EQ Section, and the GEQ has the Left adjusted to the auto eq's settings, but I have to go to the right side and select flatten to apply the AUTO EQ's changes to the right side

Again, my question is: When you AUTO EQ, is pink noise supposed to come out of both left and right or just the left in my situation.

    Hello Dew,

I don't think that your DRPA is defective, it sounds like it is functioning properly. The reason that you hear pink noise out of only the left speaker is because of the 'Dual Mono' setting. Dual mono allows you to RTA Left and Right seperately. If you allow it to complete the process then it will switch to the right speaker next.

If you wish to do them together, then you need to select 'stereo' for the Graphic EQ setting instead of 'dual mono'.

I run my 'house' system on the left side of my DRPA and my monitors on the right, so dual mono works great for me. The DRPA sends pink noise through my house speakers only, when I first begin then; when it is complete, it automatically switches to my monitors next.

Thanks, now that I think about it, after I AUTO EQ, there is another screen to AUTO EQ again, I thought it just was asking you if you wanted to do it again.

\"Stereo linked\" specifically, but hey, you got the point.

Richard, good call and welcome. Since you run mains and monitors from your DRPA. Please write up a detailed description of your set-up. Include the pros and cons (limitations or issues) that you have seen, then PM it to Gadget so he can post it in the READ ME FIRST section. We get lots of request for help with this one. We only are able to suggest theory and it would be good to have an actual application to refer people to.
