Will this work ..this way?

Ok now my own newbie question. In the Crown amp user manual it states that to set up a bridged amp they show a special cable summing the right and left output of the mixer to the one bridged side of the amp. I am assuming (help me here) that the the DRPA sums the low frequencies when using one sub with 3-way setup. Does it ?

and if so and I want to Bridge an amp like the CE 2000 (for one sub )can I use a regular banana plug connector(with 1/4\" adaptor to speakon ) in the \"bridged\" configuration to a regular speakon ( when I say regular I mean wired for normal stereo operation. In other words can bridge the sub without using a different cable (speakono) wired for bridged operation.

well.. it seems you may have made this a bit more difficult than it is but
    1. Yes the DRPA sums the signal in 2x3 (and 2X5)
    2. Doesn't the CE 2000 already have speakon jacks? If so Speakon one would be used and pins 1+, and 2+ would be used...on one end of a standard 3. or 4 pole speakon cable If there isn't a speakon on the amp then yes, you could use Banana jacks (although not very secure) and again pins 1+and 2+, the amp in bridged mode Left Mono out from the DRPA to input 1 crown 2000 (it's really easy to rewire a speakon connector...just move pin 1- to 2+
I don't get the 1/4 inch to speakon adapter... but to me a speakon connector with a short hunk of 12 gage wire to the binding post would be much more secure and far less problematic... just follow the pin outs above...
    4. If you do make up a special little pigtail to use a standard speakon cable with pins 1+ and 1- you would wire 1+ from the amp to 1+ on the speakon female jack, and 2+ on the amp to 1- on the female speakon. If your bound and determined to do the way you said, then make sure you get the polarity right... 1+ on the amp is + on the speaker and 2+ on the amp is - on the speaker, the Banana jacks would then be + terminal to 1+ and - terminal to 2+ on the amp... that would give you 1+ and 1- on a standard NL2 speakon cable.... geez this is confusing this way...

    Thanks GAdget.

The crown CE 2000 does have the speakon output. I was just being lazy and didn't want to rewire the speakon. but if i am going to add the sub , on a regular basis. I should just make a speakon and label it Bridged for the sub. they The only reason I mentioned the banana adapter is because I have one already and yes it is a poor connection. I am going to order another speakon cable and wire it just for the bridged connection. Thanks again for keeping me straight. :D

1/4\" connectors have very small physical contacting points and the is a lot of \"insertion\" loss. What I did was make a 6\" sub cable. NL4 (male) +1 /+2 on one end and NL2 (female) +1/-1 on the other That way any of your cables would work as a sub cable if needed.
