A little confusion

I went back and was reading through the Start Here post just to remind myself of anything I may have been neglecting and noticed something. I setup the Gain Structure as instructed without any \"Enhancements\" involved, but the last instruction in the article is \"Note: It is highly recommended to re-check the gain structure and output limiters if the X-over gains have been changed, or if any \"enhancements\" have been made using GEQ, PEQ, or Sub Synth afterwards.\"
I did the Indoor AutoEQ method to flatten my system as best as I could back a year ago when I first got the DRPA, and I have used this setup ever since. Oh, yes and recently I went ahead and setup \"Mr. Dra's \"Super Duper Limiter Procedure\" for added protection. Now I never really got my system completely Flat, there are some minor +/- per frequency, but nothing major. Now, when I turn all of my \"Enhancements\" back on after doing the Gain Structure how would I properly go about re-checking the Gain-Structure and Output Limiters as instructed?? So far we have been fine at performances, but we have never really pushed our system either.

  • Hmmmm.... Maybe my question seemed a little misleading. To recheck the Gain structure after you have re-added the \"Enhancements\" would I just make sure I am not clipping and that's it?? Why wouldn't you just do the Gain structure with all of your \"Enhancements\" on in the first place if you have to re-check the Gain Structure when you turn all of your \"Enhancements\" back on after doing the Gain Structure described in the Article??

We just want to make sure that the overall clip levels of the equipment are at the same point so we don't end up clipping any part of the system.
