Hello Gadget and Dra!
I'm back. You may recall my comments; AKA wolfgong. That is me, but I can't get my password reset because the email that is registered doesn't exist. So for now I'm wolfie until I can figure out how to reactivate my wolfgong account.
Anyway, I have an installation that I'd like your input on. I'll have to take some pictures and get you some facts, but basically the orientation of the primary cabinets are a disaster. You will note that immediately when you see their installation.
Anyway, do you have any impressions of EV speakers. The primary cabs are FRX 660's (x4).
Symnet Express 8x8 DSP's and a nice Allen Heath gl2800x40.
I hope you guys are doing well. I look forward to chatting with you from time to time on this site.

Wow stepping up in the world I see...So, 4 X bi-amped I assume (or why ad DSP...that is 8X8..) looks like a cool processor.. all euroblock I see (well how else could you fit 16 I/O on a 1 rack space processor?
An upscale church I assume? Those speakers look to semi horn loaded co-axial ... man 152 lbs...those should crank pretty well.. two 60 degree patterns on each side for 120 degree coverage.. Ah but you said it was screwy...Well.. bring it...but you realize this IS technically a driverack forum
Welcome back

I also plan to post the DSP images so you can see where settings are, but don't kill the messenger.
Gear:
2 X TL550D for subs. I think that is to help support the Hammond Organ which is fully electronic, no pipes, amps, etc. Plugs into house system.
Eek, the 550's are rated at about 1200W continuous and they are each being powered by one channel from a EV CPS 2.8 which is rated at about 550W. Hmm maybe a budget cut item. So instead of a 2.5-3 ratio of power we're actually more like 0.5 ratio of power to load. : )
Talk to you soon.

Set up an account with photo bucket, you can post them there. It's free and strait forward.

Sorry for the delay. My time is not my own these days.
In the DSP we have already installed, symnet express 8x8, the installer added +3db shelves. I had never seen that before. The center of the shelf is at 3600 Hz. In other words, as the shelf begins it passes through 3600 at the center of the transition which would put it at 1.5 + db.
Anyway, what is the normal reason, if there is one, to put a shelf into an installation?
I have them bypassed for now because we were feeding back at 10KHz and the sound was just harsh.
Any insights would be appreciated.
