Drum gate/compressor with 260

Hi,

I am considering the purchase of a 260 for our system for speaker management. Will it do drum gate/compression?
Speakers are Yorkville U15's, LS800 sub.

    Yes, but....
    If you intend to use it for FOH AND drum processing... no. You could use it for 2 sources, ie kick and snare, but that is it and then NO speaker management. You need a Presonus type mult-channel gate / compressor.

    -You could use the limiter and a slight compression scheme to smooth the overall response of the system.. I detailed it here:

    But as Dra says compression is best done on a per channel basis...
