Dudes.....u ahve helped me out tremendously in the past so I'mm goona ask for help again!!!
Now that I have a very basic understanding of how DRPA works I'm really confused about something so here goes....

I've done the gain structure as posted and everything seems fine...no clipping. But my amp gain knobs are not even halfway -up...seems to me that you arent using all the power the system has???? I have a QSC2450 that I am running for the mains, the EP2500 behringer for the subs...all my amps are bridged. Does the db setting in the crossover/limiter have something to do with this and if it does how should that be set......it has such a wide parameter range that im not real sure what it does......anyway i hope ya'll can help with this..

DUDE... it is TRUE... that is where you NEED to run it, and YES believe it or not... you are getting full power from the amps EVEN below 1/2 volume... that subject is addressed plenty here and in the FAQ's... suffice it to say, the gain structure is the BEST way to set up your system so everything is on the same page...YES, the DRPA has a ton of gain available... hopefully you have left it @ unity.. or -0- vu/db

Gadget thanks for the reply...and yes i have left them all at unity....so now i need to figure what the best way to get a good all around set-up EQ wise and crossover points, etc.....I really hate running sound but i'm the guy in the band that does it!!! Yuck....most of this stuff is WAY over my head and outta my league but I have learned a TON from u dudes and ur advice and skills are greatly appreciated on my part!!

What would you suggest for a system that I just wanna be able to set up easily with only a few minor adjiustments for mostly small clubs....

    Im running behringer subs
    Peavey sm2 tops
    mackie cmx board

Think of full power this way. When the amp hits the clip point (well just below), it is at full power, regardless of where anything else in the chain is. So to avoid taking the amp beyond full power (yes, amps put out power that is double their rating when clipped) and all power beyond rated power is \"not clean\", gain structure is set to force all other gear to clip BEFORE the amp.
If you apply enough signal to a amp 90% down it will clip (go beyond max rated power). It will take relatively little signal to clip an amp 5% down (but not neccessarily of coarse  )
So in the end, amps CAN achieve full power (in theory) at any setting.

    PS - Gotta be SP2's

That was my supposition as well... but I try not to ASSUME :?

I assumed the economy would bounce right back. :?

Here is what I think  .

The econony over the last year or so had a cold.
The national media (elite) hated a certain Pres. so bad that they tried to convince everyone that the economy had the flu.
The wrong medicines were shoved down our throats and now we have pneumonia.
Of coarse, everyone knows the cure for Pneumonia is breast augmentation.

I... KNOW....that our government as a whole is so wrapped up in themselves and special interests that they have turned a blind eye to the business of protecting US and our interests and and that oversite is a word that is only practiced in the king James version of the govt doctrine...

    Money rules...NOT the people...

    Government Definitions:

Oversite - In an effort to watch over, missing the scene (point) entirely.

    example:
You can't have plastic on your windows to keep out cold air, because plastic is made from devil juice and landfills are ugly.
And that keeps me warm how?
Well, you need to put in some Earth-saving energy efficient windows. They'll keep you nice and warm.
I have PLASTIC... STAPLED... to my WINDOWS, and you want me to buy the Cadilac of windows?! Do those come in 24c gold? I might as well get the gold ones so the bank will have something nice.

    I could go all day.

I have to agree big titties would definitely save MY economy.....If I had a pair to play with on a 25 year old swedish blond then I would never leave the house....thus saving money!!!

Sorry guys.....heres what I have...my tryping skills suck!!

    peavey SP-2's (2)--run bridged with qsc2450
behringer subs b1800's(2)--run bridged with ep 2500

    mackie board into drpa

some general setting would help the bass player/sound guy (me) get a decent clear sound with thump and plenty of headroom and clarity....alsi I have heard about tri-amping those sp2's....i have another ep 2500 just sitting there...is this an easy task or forget about it for a novice like me??

Does the EP like running 4 ohm brigded? I would think that it wouldn't on subs especially. Since you have another one you might consider one bridged per sub. The power will be about the same but the amps will work less hard.
100hz is typically a good staring spot using LR24 filters. Add a BW18 or even 24 on the sub at -3db point (which I didn't look up) or 40hz, whichever is HIGHER.
