Moderator and Members,
Greetings.
I have attempted to auto-eq left and right seperately in DRPA without success.
what else is required besides selecting dual mono in the setup wizard?
Also, is there a preset threshhold while increasing the level in RTA Mode that alows the auto-eq to advance? I have been using a reasonably flat (cardioid) mike, and have clipped amps before the process would allow me to continue. I have since aquired the proper omni 'standard'.
Best regards,
Curtii

    1. Are you getting in to the RTA process all right?
    2. When you get to the \"turn up level\" part are you going past the \"turn down level\" point? If you exceed that point you won't be allowed to continue ... if you see that message turn the gain down till it says \"turn up level again...
    3 the procedure is:
    a. Hook up measurement mic.
    b. press RTA button'
    c. turn up rotary encoder (NOTE if mic is hooked up and working, the meter box will start to show signal ) till you get the desired level... noting what I stated above about exceeding the levels...process will gop till it is silent again.
    d. If the \"NOT Finished\" is displayed, it could be two things... more than 4 bands maxed out + or - ... and if this is the case it WON\"T LET YOU MOVE ON TILL YOU FIX IT>>>>or if you have chosen the \"DUAL mono\" it wants to do the other channel... use the <> next previous page buttons to navigate...

For a beginner ... put the mic only about 3 feet away aimed at the speaker between the woofer and tweeter...run a pass and view the results by pressing the RTA button, storing the preset, and then pressing the preset button, next press the EQ button and toggle to the GEQ and view it... is there any MAXED OUT bands?.. if not, go back and do it all over again... this time when the NOT DONE is displayed toggle to the other channel do that as well..

Don't forget to store the preset, it takes 3 presses of the store button and some questions answered...

    Thanks for the reply.
    1. I'm getting thru the RTA mode alright.
    2. Never seen a 'Turn Down ' message.
    3. I understand the process. Never seen a 'Not Done\" message.
Do I have to press store three times after doing 'System Setup' within the Wizard to store the Dual Mono setting? Maybe that's why it just eq's the Left and then tells me to release the RTA button without going to the Right eq process.
    With shimmer,

Double check and make sure that you are in fact IN the Dual Mono setting and not Stereo Linked.
If you set up the system and then go straight into the Auto EQ Wizard it should still work fine. Just be sure to store 3 times, along with naming the program, before exiting.
Also select the Low prescision, then step up to the med or high to prove your process. You'll waste less time.
