Hi.

I need a good advice for setting up the x-over freq at my DRPX with my RCF Art 310a and one RCF Art 705as sub.

I have chosen the sub HPF to be 40 Hz and using BW18
The sub LPF is set to 106 Hz using LR24.
And the top HPF is set to 109 Hz using LR24.
I think it ok, but do you have the same setup please let me know your favorite setting.

I think is is very hard to setting up the gain structure on the speakers.
Is the sugested speaker levels in the setup guide ok for my RCF Art 310a?
I know I have to try to find the right level on the sub because it is a \"custom speaker\".

Well, I have alot to learn and then I have to play with the DRPX - the forum is great, and I have used many hours reading here.......... :D

I'd maybe suggest a HPF closer to 102 hz with those...

Yes you can use the PX preset for the 310a

    Ok, I´ll try it out.

If I am using 120 Hz HPF to the tops will you use a lover LPF, or also use 120 Hz as the LPF for the sub?

When ever you change a crossover point up or down you need to change both the HPF and LPF... It is also a good idea to have like crossover TYPES in adjacent crossover points. I like to try spreading the crossover points a few hz.. say HPF for the sub @ 111.4hz and LPF for the tops @ 118.0hz LR24 or even 125.0 hz in cases where there is still undesirable interaction with the lower xover(on lower frequencies especially) to see if I can limit the interaction in the crossover region if I detect any anomalies in the crossover region...

The reason I recommended a higher crossover for that speaker is twofold...one,
The smaller nature of the driver ,makes it a better midrange if it doesn't also have to try and reproduce lower frequencies as well.
    and two,
You'll have more usable volume for that top, and it will be more musical and better sounding...

    Hey Gadget

How far are you from Minneapolis? There is a SMAART class there May 4 and 5. Darn good investment.

Gadget.. Great info and help - I think I understand the system better now and I am looking forward to get out and test it.
