Hi.
I'm searching for a GEQ 2 channels 31 bands for a control room (with acoustic treatment but still....).
I have genelec 8020 and soon a 7050b, do you recommend me Px for that use?
And Auto EQ: can I still change manually each frequency? On graphic and parametric?
Thanks.

The PX DRPA and 260 have 28 band Eq's, and yes they will make a difference in the sound...Yes you can recall the EQ after auto EQ and change any and all bands...

I might be more interested in the 260 were I you.. it sounds better, and has a selectable 9 band PEQ that you could transfer any EQ done that I GUARANTEE will blow away ANY analog Geq, and most digital ones regardless of price!

Plus the 260 has 4 bands of PEQ pre output and LOADS of alignment delay as well...AND it's computer interface...able...

    Hi and thanks.
So, 260 sounds better and 6 outputs for a 5.1 system, right?
    Px $400.
    260 $1000

    I'm thinking....

If you go to Northern Sound and Light, you will get the 260 for:
    Dear Customer,

    Our current price for the

    dbx | 260 | DRIVERACK/SPEAKER CONTROL SYSTEM 2IN/6OUT

    is: $670.32.

This price quote will be honored for (15) days from the date of this email.

Please, mention Gary Perrett from the Drive rack forum (DRUG group tee hee) sent you...

So you could be running Mackie studio monitors MR5 for $229 list. but your running the Genelec 8020...$559 each....

the difference is worth more than 10 times the difference in price...

If by 5.1 you mean surround sound, no it is not a decoder and can only process 2 channels..

So, a 28 band GEQ to be used in a control room on studio monitors that were designed to deliver a flat response. There's something you don't see every day..........

Yeah, the 7050b's that are still on cea's wish list are 4\" subs and will require a processor.......it's the EQ part I am questioning.

Well, i don't spoke english but it seems sarcastic, or don't?
    Genelec = flat response, ok
Room no so flat. In spite of all acoustic freaks who wants bass traps everywhere on the room (and I have a few...) and proclaim NOT TO USE EQ ON CONTROL ROOM, I use it.
I little bit, measurement with pink noise etc. Sounds better to me and i see it more flat too (the rest of the room is worse, I know) but what can I do? My mixes are better with eq, there's nothing more important, right?.
While I try more bass traps and acoustic treatment I want an eq.

And yes, i see it now, there's no decoder, only 2 channels.
    Thanks.

What I was indicating was.. that with the 260 you could use the PEQ's like the GEQ and have a better sounding speaker...more precise, and with less filter skewing due to phase shifts and sonic scrambling that happens with GEQ's... What we like to say here is \"You cannot equalize a room, only equalize the speakers with respect to the room\"

Buy once, cry once...you'll be FAR ahead with the 260...
