Just when I though I had learned so much.

Deffinetly a site for many more late nights. I've got hundreds of questions I don't know where to start.

I'm going to read up some more first though. See what is already covered.

Great Site.

Just to open, I have a driverack pa running an install with logic systems and peavey cabs. Another drive rack running some qsc's rmx's for various occasions, more peavey cabs, jbl mrx's, mpro's and a rack of xti's. not to mention 6 bose 802's but they go on ebay next week.

I've made loads of presets in my drive rack & SA but I want to take my knowledge to the next level. Especialy now I'm combining the xti's to the picture.

my main event reopens next month and I could do with getting the logics super tuned. especial as due to the new contract they only have half what they did.

Well.. just to clarify a bit please make sure you visit:

as this helps with system setup, and tuning...

and these are the most frequently covered subjects...

Yes were pretty proud of this site, we have worked diligently to provide the most up to date, and accurate information from a users perspective that we can... the good folks here give freely of their expertise and experiences so simply provide ALL the necessary information so we don't have to guess what you have... it makes it so much easier on us..

I loved this site, http://www.lenardaudio.com/education thanks for the link, still to go to bed after been up all night reading it.

I'm going to do some more playing before I ask and get annoying. I think my mind needs a rest first.

well 2 questions. is it common to add a large bell in the low frequencies on the peq, with it been placed over the high pass cross over point/cut off/ does this bring up the curve? visualy naily half the frequencies been boosted are frequencies that your cross over has cut out!!! the bell been anywere upto 9db gain, 1.22Q/0.94Q at arround 37.5/47.5 hz.

any more links on using the delays? it's fine tuning the bass element in the club that is my main concern. the bass bins may be in far from ideal placement?

Absolutely NOT...where did you get that from? Each PEQ and tuning notch is a function of the speaker setup for flatness, once you have the system flat you attack the room limitations...There is a HUGE amount of info out there, but some of it requires things like SMAART or digital consoles with dynamics on every channel...or delays that you don't have with the DRPA but do with the Xti amps...Did you see the link to the PSW study hall? that's where I learned a lot...and what about the Peavey site and the boundary cancellation article...

learn about alignment delay and the whole system setup...the more you do it the better you will get at it...YOU are the only limitation here...

  • thank you for your time.

I was unsure about the large bell, it had been pre programed into a drive rack for us on an install. This was over 2 years now possibly 3. After we lost a bass bin I inspected the DRPA setting and took the large bell out. The bass in the room is now very lacking so I decided I need to know more.

Aparently the guy who programed the DRPA said it had been recomended by logic systems, he only put in the specification they had told him too. The bin was a logic 215 (don't have product number at hand) powered with a crown xs1200. I'm actualy looking for a replacement driver.

I've been reading through the peavey site and asking there for some speaker tunings for there cabs I have. I already have the jbl specs I need, thanks to SA and the drive rack wizard.
Peavey site and the boundary cancellation article
. I was aware of something like this already but glad to have a reference for it, especialy the measurements. was a good read.

Realy enjoying all the links. thank you again.
