Input Sharing

I'm having trouble getting the ZP 641 to link / share the inputs of the 1261 through the ethernet link ins/outs. Am I missing a trick? The link cable works fine, the link in of the 641 is connected to the link out of the 1261. The manual seems to indicate that it is simply plug and play. I find no settings or selections in the ZP Designer. I'm lost, please help.
