XOVER ON PA+

When I do the setup, custom top biamp, custom subs all mono. Crown XS 202 on the horns, Crown XS 802 Mid, and Crown CTS 3000 on subs. Subs crossed at 125. Mids at 1800. The PA+ is showing 6.5 db gain on my sub band. 0 or flat on mid and hi.
My question, Why would all not be flat or 0 gain ? No info on this in the book.

I just did the same in the 260 wizard. subs - mids @ 100hz, mids - horns @ 6K, subs +6.5db, horns +6.7db, mids -0-.
So what does that prove? Nothing.
How can a wizard (some guy) know what the sensitivity of your "custom" speakers are? He can't.
However, Maybe they are using an average sensitity for subs, mids, and horns and throwing in the power available from the selected amps... (kind of stupid when you think about it).
Maybe the wizard (guy "A") did the PA+ set-up using a JBL that is bi-ampable and a Peavey sub for their customs, and the 260 wixard (guy "B") used a bi-ampable EV and a Meyer sub for it's custom.
My guess though is that they are configuring based on SPL band balancing based on available power of the amps selected.
Consider this... the wizard didn't ask if you what diaphram size your horns were or the voice coil size of the mids. :? Or the ohms or the power handling....
Your best bet is to get the sensitivities of your speakers and research the sensitivities of speaker in the list and get as close as you can and put in those.... then ignore them.
What speakers are you using? Gadget helped a guy a while back with a tri-amp set-up.

I would of liked to had a 4ohm 15" mid speaker but PV don't have them any longer. That would given me 800 watts per side on the XS802.
I didn't understand why you would boost the xover after going to the trouble of setting the gains on the board and amps beforehand.
