Ugliest compressor ever...

I wound up with a 162sl in a trade. This is a much maligned box and I've actually really come to like it. There's just one problem: I can't stand looking at it!!!

What would it cost to have a custom faceplate made for it in a less completely offensive color?

    Try putting different color gels on the rack or room lighting.

    You could always paint it black and use a silver Sharpie to re-label. :lol:
    Why do you want to change the color again? Too hard to find quickly in the rack? 8)

    Or... you could look at it this way...Midas is purple! AND universally accepted as probably the best mixers available...but BUT UGLY...

    PLastic surgery might be less expensive than a new face plate...

    I know what it would cost to run a one off. I'm hoping that someone from DBX can grab a faceplate during manufacturing post cnc but before it's dipped in the ugly juice and walk it over to the tank of black dye before it's silkscreened and ship it off to me. Design is important. This design fails.

    If you hadn't posted to the world, you might (5%) have been able to talk somebody into that. They then would have sworn you to secrecy with the threat of legal action. If word got out that they did you a "Special", they would be over-run with requests. Just a hunch.

    This my friend is a USER forum NOT frequented by the folks at dbx....They come here when I send them a request, That said, you would need to contact Tech support for such a question...

    The AMC Pacer was so damned ugly it had to sneak up behind and hogtie the pump first before it could get any gas - and then only on moonless nights.

    Oh believe me... it gets silly here from time to time...Look up "Gadgit" by placing that name in the search field under "search for author" He was a thorn in my side for MONTHS! :lol:
