Where did my post about Delay and PEQ go?

This is odd. I recall posting a Chapter 3. “Advice on some final items for an initial starting point last week, but I cannot find it, nor is it showing in any searches. Did it get nuked because of someones follow-up content (… did someone say something naughty …), or did the forum have problems and lose posts? Hmm …
Maybe I hallucinated it all, but I jotted down some very specific things that Gadget said, like I should try setting up a PEQ @ 170 hz w/ Q = about 1, one at 350 hz w/ Q = about 1, and set a hi shelf @ 4k w/ a slope of 4.5dB/octave. Stuff like that. If that was a hallucination, then it was a d@mn good one!
Anyway, thanks to Gadget and the others that helped, I put every hint and tip you gave into play, and it was a rousing victory last weekend. The sum total of all the fixes that were suggested resulted in a major improvement in our FOH sound. Folks noticed, even folks that don’t usually notice that sort of thing ;-)
Granted, they had buggered up the gear settings so bad in the past that is was not too hard to get something that was an improvement, but it actually sounded like what a club should sound like. For these guys, it was the first time. They were stoked.
Indoor Auto-EQ worked just as advertized (had to go back in and pull down some bands that were pegged and then set them by ear). The Feedback catcher worked as described, 6 fixed caught before the show, no problems during the show even though I had the board and level in the room higher than they had ever been able to run it before.
You guys rock!
As soon as the weather clears, one side of the gear is getting dragged outside for the outdoor Auto-EQ trials. This stuff is really fun. Thanks again.

As for the thread, we got hacked last week. and much like personal computer when you suffer a problem with something that gets in and wrecks havoc you go back to the last point backed up too... i think that's what happened here, because everything we wrote here up to that point in February ...is gone, not just your posts but everyone's! Were still looking to see if we can get those posts back but it isn't looking all that good...
yup pretty darn good one indeed!
Those three PEQ's are for quick room adjustments on the fly...The 350hz one is particularly helpful when your having trouble with room modes. 250hz and 500hz (especially in monitors) are usual suspects in rooms, so a broad PEQ is an effective way to fight these.
I'm glad your diligent and wrote those things down.. I remember Kevin was walking around with a binder full of my posts as he was learning. Actually I too have a binder with a whole host of material in it, things that I have found over the years... even some things I wrote
Well, keep up the good work!
