Outdoor Auto EQ - RTA Placement

I've read about everything I could find in setting up Auto-EQ outdoors. The only question I have is the RTA position from the speaker. Should the RTA be pointed at the speaker, away from the speaker, up or down?

Please let me know...JL

    There are so many answers to that question...my answer du jour is microphone 4 to 6 feet away from speaker ON AXIS, aimed at center point between horn and woofer. Assuming you have 90* boxes, take a second reading 45* OFF AXIS. Average the two readings.
