DBX 266XL Guitar Gate Problem

Hey everyone, I am new to this forum but thought it'd be a good idea to join since I've been having an issue with my DBX 266XL that I just purchased last week. I originally had a Boss NS-2 pedal that worked as my noise gate for my live show and I had no problems with it. I purchased the DBX because I had heard good things about it and because it also includes a compressor.

To get to the point, the main issue I'm having is with the gate. It works great with my distorted channel (lead channel) and blocks out all the noise and hum from the amp. The problem comes when I switch to my clean channel and the gate blocks out almost all sound from my clean guitar tone, unless I adjust the threshold and ratio settings to accommodate it. Then when I switch back to my lead channel, I have to adjust the settings back to what they were for that channel. With my previous Boss NS-2 pedal, the settings I had set up worked great for both channels and no tone was blocked out or lost on either channel.

My question is this: Is there a way that I can have gate settings to work with both channels like how it was when I had my Boss NS-2? If I could separate the two channels (lead and clean), I would separate them into the two channels of my DBX 266XL. But the reality is that I can't.

Any help you guys could offer me would be great. I really don't want to have to switch back to the Boss noise gate pedal because outside of this problem, I really really dig this rackmount. Thanks!
