Have just acquired a DBX 4BX in mint condition, and am wondering about the differences in the model line of DBX equipment- 3BX III, 4BX, 3BXIII DS, 5BX...
I am using this in conjunction with a Mac 4100 receiver and ESS AMT4, ESS B102 and
Mac ML1C speakers. The 4BX seems to be a 3 band expander with 1 band of impact restoration.
The 3BX 3DS seems much more versatile with 3 bands each of compression, expansion and impact restoration.
I listen to FM, vinyl, CD's and may do some recording. Which unit is regarded as best for these things and why ?
MANY THANKS!!
