223XL Crossover Question

bluezguybluezguy Posts: 2
I've just purchased a passive PA system utilizing a pair of 18" subs and a pair of 15" cabs with horns. I've always used the 15s & horns as my mains for my bar gigs but now I'm getting lots of outdoor work and need the subs for projecting kick drums and bass guitar.

I have a dedicated power amp for the subs. My question is: since I only need to route signal to the subs, what settings do I use on the 223XL?
Sorry if I sound stupid, but I've had soundmen do this for me most of my life and now, I'm faced with doing it myself.
Aging sucks!

And why would you not want to cross the tops out and avoid the interference generated by overlapping frequencies from 2 different sources?

This thread should give you a leg up on the 223..
