Hi everybody
My 260 arrived yesterday. Hooked up the unit today with all the parameters set. Works fine.
Now to some questions!!
Why dont my unit have any fan on the back???
Is this som design improvment.
When I do the wizard setup what does insert 1 and insert 2 means.
What do I select here. For an exanple , what does wire setting mean???
Great unit by the way
Thanks

You need to download the GUI and get hooked up with the driverack it will simplify things greatly...
Those inserts have a number of cool inserts you can put in them...
Auto Feedback suppressor
Auto gain control
compressor
sub harmonic synth
Notch filter
gate
Wire..
Wire is just that a strait wire through the module.
For you I'd suggest perhaps the sub synth and wire...or wire and wire...

Ok thats good to know. It seems to run cooler than
PA+. Anyway I choose the wire as insert 1&2.
I been playing around with GUI on my laptop but I had to get myself a usb to RS232 converter to hook up to the unit.
I will keep the quetions comming as time goes by.
In meantime have a Merry X-mas to all of you.
Thanks

Actually, I'm from Sweden. Sorry for the late reply, been busy.
Have change my system to two Crown MAI5000 to drive the bass, one for 18" and one for the 15" subs, and mono McIntosh MC252 (500Watts each) to drive the M/T on my screen array system JBL 3731. It sounds better with more power . The dbx 260 is an excellent unit, very easy to work with and with the GUI.
As for the moment, I belive, I have reach my goal both acoustically and sonically with this system. I am so satisfied now.
Thanks
